Detailed strategy analysis session

Why we started this

Back in 2017, we kept seeing the same problem. Companies would hire an agency or a contractor, and three months later they'd have a bunch of blog posts and backlinks but no clear direction. Nobody had actually mapped out what keywords made sense for their business or how different pages should work together.

So we decided to focus exclusively on the planning part. Not the execution, just the strategy. We sit down with businesses remotely, look at their actual situation, and build a roadmap that makes sense for what they're trying to accomplish. Then they can hand that plan to whoever's doing the implementation.

Most of our clients come back every six months to revisit the strategy as their market changes. That's usually how it goes—an initial deep dive to get everything mapped out, then periodic check-ins to adjust based on what's actually working.

What a consultation actually involves

Each session is structured but flexible. We cover specific ground while adapting to what you actually need to figure out.

Competitive landscape review

We look at what's ranking for the terms you care about, who's dominating those searches, and where there might be opportunities you're not seeing yet.

Keyword prioritization

Not all search terms are worth going after. We help you identify which keywords align with your business model and which ones would just waste resources.

Content structure mapping

We outline how your pages should relate to each other, which topics need dedicated landing pages, and how to organize everything so search engines understand your site architecture.

Technical audit summary

We identify the technical issues that might be holding you back—crawl problems, indexing issues, speed concerns—and explain what actually needs fixing versus what's just noise.

Implementation timeline

You get a clear sequence of what to tackle first, what can wait, and realistic timeframes for when you might see movement based on your specific competitive situation.

Measurement framework

We set up the metrics that actually matter for your business. Not vanity numbers, but the data points that indicate whether the strategy is working or needs adjustment.

What guides our recommendations

These principles shape every strategy session. They're not marketing talk—they're how we actually think through each client's situation.

Strategic planning documentation

Your business context matters more than best practices

Generic SEO advice might work for some companies and completely miss the mark for others. We dig into what you're actually trying to accomplish and who you need to reach.

Honest assessment over optimistic projections

If your market is dominated by sites with massive authority and budgets, we'll tell you. Sometimes the smart move is targeting different terms or taking a longer-term approach.

Practical over perfect

We focus on strategies you can actually execute with your resources and timeline. A decent plan that gets implemented beats a perfect plan that sits in a drawer.

Adaptation built in from the start

Search landscapes shift. What works now might not work in six months. Our strategies include checkpoints to reassess and adjust based on what the data shows.

Remote consultations that fit your schedule

We work with clients across different regions, all through video calls and shared documentation. You get the same depth of analysis whether you're in Johannesburg, Cape Town, or anywhere else with an internet connection.

Most initial consultations run about 90 minutes. We send you a prep questionnaire beforehand so we can use that time efficiently. After the session, you get a written strategy document with all the recommendations and reasoning laid out clearly.

If you're trying to figure out where to start with SEO or need to validate the direction you're heading, we should talk.
